Apple cider vinegar toner

Lately I have felt my skin has become very dull and old looking. Normally I am not so into skin care per we. Not because I don't want to, but because somehow I never get around to do it. And even more so when my days are free and lacking structure, as they are now. The more free time on my hands, the more difficult it is to get anything done.

Anyway, decided I wanted to make an effort too see if I could maybe clear up my complexion a bit. I don't have any acne, lots of wrinkles, or other huge problems, it's just that my skin looks dull and tired.

I started out researching what kind of toner to buy, as I already had a cleanser, serum, and good slim cream. But then I suddenly remembered having read something about apple cider vinegar as a toner. Googled it and a ton of results turned up. All very positive and all claiming that this was THE BEST TONER EVER!! And as I had some of the said vinegar in the kitchen I decided to give it a go.

I mixed 1 part apple cider vinegar with 1 1/2 part strong green tea and 1 1/2 part water. Poured it into a glass bottle, and bob's my uncle. The toner feels very clean, and my skin feels refreshed and tingeling after i have applied it. I apply it with a cotton pad and let it air dry before slapping on serum and moisturiser. It smells of vinegar, but I like vinegar so I'm not really bothered by it. The smell goes away soon enough, maybe after a few minutes. I have used it morning and evening since yesterday, following the golden rule of cleanse - tone - moisturise. So, now we will see how long I am able to keep this up as well as whether my skin will just become radiant and lovely :).

  1. going to try this. I have suffered from acne since I was 13. Being 41 now I can tell you I am past tired of it. Have you looked into natural moisturizers? I am still researching. Just a thought :D
